Champagne Yvon Moussy

Champagne Yvon Moussy

If you are familiar with the exquisite champagnes of Ulysse Collin's fame, then the name Congy should ring a bell. After all, it was Olivier (Collin) who placed the village's name on the world's fine wine map, and whose craft inspired so many young winemakers and wine lovers around the globe.

Antonin Aubry, who hails from the same village, is a bright young winemaker who currently helms his small family-run domaine called Champagne Yvon Moussy. He may not be a famous star like Olivier YET but we personally see some seriously huge potential stardom in his wines as they turned so many heads when we first debuted them in Singapore.

Antonin works organically on 5ha of rich clay-limestone land planted with Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay. Since taking over the domaine from his parents, Antonin has been making interesting changes to his family's traditional offerings, converting his family's viticultural approach to full organic farming, giving all his family labels a fresh look, crafting a brand new series of small batch parcellaires champagnes that are unique, and practising minimal intervention in the winery with little to no sulphur use whenever the vintage permits.

“Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed." - that's Antonin's guiding light for all the wines he now makes at Champagne Yvon Moussy. These are honest, unpretentious, pure expressions of what his terroir can given. For us, he is an absolute young star to watch.
