delicious drop of pinot

Hubert Lamy Chassagne-Montrachet La Goujonne

a bottle tasted last week - Lamy's Chassagne-Montrachet La Goujonne VV Rouge 2006: deep shades of ruby red; aromas of raspberries, dried cranberries, crème fraîche and orange peel on the nose; tart sour cherries, herbaceous, grippy tannins and earthy palate. Med+ finish. Good acidity. Should be nice with some grilled asparagus and pigeons. Not quite at its peak yet (in fact, far from it) so I'd say #LayThemDown if possible. Otherwise, let the wine breathe in a decanter before drinking.
