An expression of Pinot Noir on the calcerous Southern Champagne soil. Technically a non-vintage champagne (as it didn't meet the min 36 month aging) but it truly is a pure vintage edition with all the grapes harvested from Julien's "Chantemerle" (song bird) vineyard except for a tiny plot reserved for his vintage Pinot Noir. Fermented in stainless steel vats and aged for 18-20 months prior to disgorgement. Lots of wild strawberries, cherries and bright red fruit flavours. Quite a gourmandise wine and an absolutely star buy.
