The "Roche-Mère" is named after the original bedrock in the soil where the vines are found and this particular wine started its life as the classic Brut Noir...BUT with an additional year of aging on fine less with no dosage added at the end, making it a Brut Zéro or Brut Nature. There is, however, a small dose of dry Chardonnay fermented and aged in small barriques introduced at the time of disgorgement, adding some je ne sais quoi element to this beautiful cuvée! Only 3500 bottles made.
