The flagship Grenache from the Saladin family. Very old Grenache Noir grown in a pebble-filled vinveyards, this wine usually needs a few years upon release to show its magnificence. A little reductive on the nose but will dissipate with some aeration. Wild berries, cherries, violets, dried flowers and plummy with a light tone of Provençal herbs. Excellent with ratatouille (southern french vegetable stew), Peking Duck, pigeon pithivier and bolognese pasta.
